Hand woven traditional Aso Oke fabric was the starting point to this collection. Combining traditional woven fabrics with hand smocked silk fabrics drew a parallel to make design modern and relevant.
Building up on the direction from my last collection, the designs have developed into timeless, elegant, modern luxurious wearable pieces featuring hand smocked dresses, tops, trousers, jackets and shorts.
The adequate use and modernization of the Aso oke fabric will ensure preservation of this weave to pass from generation to generation.
This collection is the fusion of heritage craftsmanship.
